Seasonal Gift Packing Operative!
Role and responsibilities-
You will be working in our confectionery warehouse responsible for packing chocolate gifts for our consumer and corporate clients. This will involve-
- Assembling gift packages, applying high standards of quality, presentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at a fast pace without sacrificing quality and presentation standards.
- Proactively communicate with colleagues and line leaders about issues- e.g., stock items running low.
- Use of scanning and labelling systems.
- Ensure hygiene and housekeeping standards are met and exceeded.
- Responsible for your health and safety. Plus watching out for the safety of others.
Job details-
Due to the location - applicants should live no more than 15 miles from HG4 5NB Public Transport is very limited so own transport is preferable.
Rate of pay- £12.71 per hour. Hours Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. Moving to 08.00-18.00 from November 16th. Sunday overtime available from November 22nd, Paid at £19.05 per hour.
12.07% of all hours worked paid on top !
Candidates should be avaiable until 24th December 2026.

Hello! I’m the production manager and my role involves overseeing the quality and quantity of gifts being packed, plus ensuring they are packed to meet the demand for all online and corporate customers. My job role also includes scheduling when gifts are being packed across various different packing lines, making sure stock and packaging is ordered and received prior to packing the products.
What I like most about working at Hemingways is that the company is continuously growing and evolving. There is plenty of job variety across the business and a noticeably positive and desirable working atmosphere.
Hemingway’s has helped me to develop my communication skills and grow in confidence when managing others. Throughout my time here, I have also improved skills such as decision-making when forecasting packing orders to effectively and how to confidently oversee an ever growing gift packing team!
