Employing over 120 permanent staff across two sites in Ripon, a modern purpose-built extension had been finished in 2020, which has been accredited by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and operates to a Grade A storage and distribution rating.

Sales Development Representative

Who are we looking for?

We’re on the lookout for an ambitious, curious, and energetic Sales Development Rep to be the driving force behind our outbound B2B sales efforts. If you love connecting with people, starting conversations, uncovering opportunities and turning them into revenue - this is the role for you. You’ll take a proactive approach to engaging with prospects, managing the sales process, and delivering a standout customer experience from first contact to signed contract. We’re all about creativity, resilience, and a team spirit - so if you’re ready to pick up the phone, dive into the CRM whilst learning the foundations of consultative selling and B2B strategy, we want to hear from you!

What does the role involve?

This is a high-energy, high-impact role focused on outbound lead generation and new business development. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential clients, introducing our brand and value proposition, identifying needs, delivering tailored product pitches and converting interest into revenue. You’ll research prospects, craft compelling outreach, and build meaningful engagement through calls, emails, and LinkedIn. You’ll own the full sales cycle - from initial outreach and product demos to proposal delivery and deal closure.

What are the key role responsibilities?

  • Research and identify target companies and key decision-makers
  • Execute outbound outreach via phone, email, and social platforms (LinkedIn)
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit and potential
  • Build strong initial relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and pain points
  • Deliver compelling sales pitches and product demonstrations, understanding client needs and tailor solutions
  • Follow up consistently and nurture prospects through the pipeline
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and manage the negotiation process
  • Close deals and ensure a smooth handover to the Customer Success Team
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and outcomes within the HubSpot CRM
  • Collaborate with sales/marketing to optimize campaign content and lead quality
  • Provide valuable feedback based on client interactions to help improve sales strategy and materials
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s full product suite and service offerings
  • Meet or exceed targets for meetings booked, qualified leads, and conversions.

What skills do you need?

  • Understanding of B2B sales, lead generation with commercial acumen
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Confident presenter with the ability to handle objections and persuade decision-makers
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable in using modern sales tools and platforms
  • Highly organised with effective time management and pipeline control
  • Self-motivated and resilient, thriving under pressure and driven to succeed
